East Arm Civil Community Involvement
East Arm Civil has a proud history of local philanthropy through cash and in-kind donations to local community clubs and activities as well as direct assistance with charity drives.
Our senior staff are active participants in various relevant industry boards, providing input into the development of industry initiatives and progress. In particular, we actively support sporting clubs including football, hockey, netball, basketball and equestrian clubs with donations and sponsorships. East Arm Civil sponsors a staff Indoor Cricket Team and recently donated civil improvement works to the Fannie Bay Equestrian Club, creating a new, well-drained riding area as well as upgrading the dressage arena. Both these projects will have broader benefits for the surrounding East Point Nature Reserve and the development of young equestrians. Among our regular annual community and charitable activities are:
- Providing staff and trucks for the collection of non-perishable foods and goods for the
Christmas Charity Drive for Somerville Community Services; - Raising funds throughout the year for Movember and Alzheimers Australia;
- Financial sponsorship for Senior Citizens Week to ensure this program continues for our local seniors;
- Financial and other assistance to OZ Help and Beyond Blue which undertakes life-saving work in Mental Health for locals.

We also host annual Family Fun days for our staff, their partners and families. We believe that a holistic approach to good human resource management extends much further than the workplace and we welcome and encourage our workers families to be involved in company activities. Two of our senior-most Managers take positions on key Boards/Panels within our Industry and engage in key networking activities as well as representation to the government when requested. We are also generous with providing mentoring, advice and assistance whenever necessary.
